By allowing every student to have headphones they will all have the opportunity to stay focused on their own work, and I will see an increase in their academic learning by meeting their goals in Lexia and iReady. Also, I chose Spot the emotions book to help students identify their emotions and validate their feeling and this will help their social-emotional skills. I have a lot of students who will benefit from learning about the big emotions they are feeling and ways to manage them. Students will also see a wider variety of non-fiction texts that will build their academic language skills. This will also broaden their writing skills when they are discussing these non-fiction texts and writing their thoughts. I also purchased Owl Diaries books to interest my high readers which will greatly impact them and I will see growth in all students in my class.
