The materials and supplies I have requested will be used daily in the library. My students usually will be silently playing on their phones and not really engaging with their peers. The games and art supplies will help them destress and give them a mental break from school work. The students work so hard and are dealing with so many things this year, that I want to create a welcoming space for them to relax and have fun. These materials will encourage students to play a game or two with their peers and have conversations with each other. The coloring supplies will help students destress with some coloring pages and maybe create bracelets for themselves and their friends. Students will be able to have social interaction, build relationships, and a feeling of belonging.
