We need to bounce back, but how? As we are trying to fill in for the lost time, I have found that the kids were struggling to have the stamina they needed to start and finish a chapter book. I had one class set of a book and a few small group sets for reading. I learned that when the students had their own copy of a book they could follow along and read with me. The skills and stamina improved as well as their confidence to discuss a book. The class set books will be used to enjoy a book together, learn and apply skills, and bounce back into being readers. Keep it clean...keep it clean! The flexible seating wobble chairs and portable desks will serve many great purposes. First of all, they can easily be wiped down, unlike the crate cushions I currently have for flexible seating. Next, they are movable to any private-focus spot in the room for when we need to distance ourselves and would still like a workable comfortable sport. The items that I am asking for will be used this year and for many more learning years.
