Graphing Calculators Create Success by making the curriculum interesting and accessible. Students find it easier and less time-consuming to use the technology than graphing by hand, especially for more complicated polynomial equations. Graphing Calculators Create Success by encouraging math understanding, which leads to more math classes being taken. Also, the TI-84 calculator is allowed on the ACT. While not required to have a graphing calculator to complete the ACT, having one and knowing how it works could be helpful. In fact, our school scores on the ACT could improve a point or two due to the students being able to use these calculators.
