I want to add a listening center to my classroom. Many of my student's families are non-English speaking, this means that for many of my students their access to English stories is limited. I want to give my students greater access to the rich vocabulary of classic storybooks, in a setting where they can have full control over the book and pictures. I believe building a listening center that is comfortable, peaceful, and filled with age appropriate books will help foster life long readers. For many of my students, this is their first experience in a classroom, due to Covid-19 shut downs and added stress to their families few attended preschool.
