During these last few years, students have missed key concepts most noticeable in literacy. These supplies will enhance my students learning through interactive and hands-on lessons. They will have a chance to create words and focus on letter patterns and sound families. Along with writing and using the words learned. My students really enjoy working with hands-on materials. They almost always choose hands-on learning when given the choice. With these new kits and supplies, my students will be able to create words and write learned sorts as they work towards grade level. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and in order for my students to read more, they need to enjoy it. As they create words and use these kits their interest in reading will increase. I have seen how these kits can benefit student learning and would like to give my students this benefit as well. After seeing the struggles that my students have faced with distance learning and COVID-19 where so many concepts were missed, I want to give them as many options as I can to succeed.
