Children learn through a variety of methods. My project will help bring some of the hands on learning to the forefront as well as allowing the teacher to demonstrate math and reading skills to my students. With the use of magnetic letters and math concepts each child will have the opportunity to learn other than simply paper/pencil options. Movement in the classroom can help with motivation of learning new math and reading skills. This will be achieved through fun game time learning. This also helps in learning teamwork and socialization skills which may have been lacking due to circumstances beyond our control. The items I am requesting will be in the classroom setting and will be enjoyed for many years to follow. Countless students will have the opportunity to learn with these fun hands on manipulatives.
