I know that my students struggle with the concepts of understanding fractions and I believe that the fraction manipulatives can help them gain visual, hands-on practice with that concept. The ferrofluid will make be a great physical science lab as I am teaching this class and future classes about magnetism and how products like ferrofluid are used in common items such as speakers and seals for the creation of a vacuum. My school in particular has had a shortage of lab supplies and demonstration resources in biology. I am excited about being able to emphasize genetic mutations, heredity, and ecology.
