My students love to learn, they learn quickly when activities are hands-on, multi-sensory or play based. They are closing the gaps created by learning during a pandemic. Their eagerness to learn inspires me to give them the most developmentally appropriate learning opportunities I possibly can. Research has shown that young children learn best through multi-sensory experiences, and even better when play is a key component. During this pandemic, students have had to rely on a screen for learning. I have worked hard to create engaging activities for them to complete at home. Unfortunately, the reality is that a screen has been the most accessible to parents, providing quick presentation of material. I feel that my students deserve, now more than ever, the best of the best educational experiences. These items on this list will give them just that; pieces to manipulate, to feel and to experience the academic skills they are learning.
