Though the At Home Learning system generated a lot of opportunities for students to interact with technology and virtual manipulatives, it created a lack of fine motor movement and physical manipulation of tools to create learning opportunities. The items that I am looking to add to my classroom are those tools that would help to fill that void. As found through recent "Science of Reading" research, students need often and engaging interactions with words and their parts (i.e. sounds and syllables) in order to become successful readers. I think these tools will be very helpful in allowing my students to do so.
