The light table, translucent materials, and liquid letters will offer another way of learning through a STEM based approach. Children will be able to explore the properties of light and make connections coupled with traditional instruction, such as the teaching of alphabet awareness. There are fine motor skill components tied in with some of the materials as well as opportunities for science activities. Children learn visually. The light table enhances the learning process which also provokes their imagination. Materials presented to children on a light table encourage children to notice subtle differences and in return they become better observers.
