Students will be able to learn and practice concept words with real pictures of themselves in relevant classroom and school environments. They will create and use daily schedules in order to improve executive functioning and time management skills. We also want to create and practice social stories to learn and practice social routines and skills. My students are excited to learn and practice sentence structure by creating, writing about, and reading stories, schedules, and pictures. In summary, color pictures of students create high interest and are the most meaningful for each student. Printing custom schedules specific to their environment, including reinforcement charts with real pictures, are more meaningful to students who are learning executive functioning skills of getting from one class to another or learning how to attend to instruction in the setting of the classroom.
