The materials I am requesting for our classroom is centered around a variety of options for reading. Students in my classroom have engaged in DYAD reading to progress together in their reading skills. Our classroom is running out of options for students to read with one another because our library is almost bare. There are a number of students that have seen genuine growth in their skills since reading with their peers and have found a new desire to read independently. Story time in our classroom is heavily anticipated each day and students engage with the stories they interact with frequently. By donating to our project, students will have the opportunity to grow their passion and individual progression in reading and reading comprehension. Our classroom is in need of enriching their experiences with books by giving them more opportunities to read books they have interest in.
