These items will allow the students to physically hold replicas of new technology from the age of European exploration. My hope is to help them to see how these objects were real and what they felt like. They will be able to see and use the technology that was available to explorers 600 years ago. They can compare this older technology to what they have today. I want them to see that, while we often think of people of the past being less intelligent than we are, that this is not true. We have different knowledge today because of the technology that is available to us.

About my class
