The students will be able to use these items to build their phonemic and phonological awareness by using the magnetic boards and magnets to represent the sounds that they hear. They can also practice building their foundational reading skills by using the blocks and magnetic letters to make and blend simple words. These products will help the students to differentiate sounds (phonemes), read and write letters, and identify correct letter sounds while learning to blend sounds to read words. The students will be able to use these materials during small group instruction on a daily basis. Also, students will be able to use the decodable readers to continue to practice their phonics skills and sight word recognition as they work with their teacher in a whole group or small group setting. These donations and materials will support students while learning key literacy components and building their foundational reading skills. I know that these materials will further help students to build lifelong reading skills and phonological awareness. Thank you!
