My students as a class will dive deep into the wonders of reading and how exciting a new book can be. These books will help my students to engage in new perspectives as they increase their reading fluency and comprehension. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our school was shut down and caused gaps in many of my students learning. These books and other supplies will help my students gain a love for reading. These books in particular talk about differences and how those differences make us unique, which will give my students an opportunity to gain a different perspective on life's challenges. I know that through these messages shared my students will gain empathy and understanding for others, while filling those gaps in their learning.
