The students in my class are working very hard to learn and be successful in first grade. I included some items to help motivate my students to keep working hard. Many times teachers are using their funds to reward students for positive work and achievements. A sticker, prize, or a treat really will show my appreciation to my students for all of their hard work. I will use whiteboards, dry erase markers, Popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and stickers to assist with math lessons. I am excited to use my butterfly kit to have a hands-on approach to teach life cycles. I use white paper bags to do our animal projects. They can write on all sides of the bag and fill the inside with things that describe the animal. I need a new colorful cart to keep science kits organized for students to grab and get to work. Play-doh is used during science lessons to build and manipulate new topics taught in class.
