The Legere reeds specifically are also easier to sterilize without damage when a student has been sick. The reeds also last longer and are more durable. Having reeds for students will allow all students make sure they have useable equipment despite income. I am in a relatively low income community and I am regularly supplying reeds out of my maintenance and music budget. So this also helps all students who don't use reeds in that funds can be used for other things besides reeds when this project is funded. These reeds would be great at helping my budget go further.
