I teach a high number of students who are on IEP's. Many don't have access to technology for math. With this donation, I can lend calculators to students to be able to complete their work. My students can do math at high levels if given the opportunity. Many of them struggle with simple calculations but have great algebraic reasoning. The compasses are a great tool to connect students with topics from the history of mathematics. Each year I do a small project where students explore Islamic art. Many students who struggle with math find joy in the art project that connects to mathematical principles.
