I teach students who have an IEP and are serviced by special education services. My students use headphones a lot in our classrom. They use them to have materials read aloud to them or to watch videos about material that they are learning about. Many of my students learn best by hearing and watching information. Because of this, I need good, reliable, and comfortable headphones for my students. Because of Covid-19, we try to limit the items that they share. I only have a few headphones that are being passed around. These headphones are getting over used and are breaking. It would be best if my students had their own headphones that work to use in my classroom. These headphones also need to have a microphone so my students can use speech to text headphones. The headphones I chose look comfortable and have a microphone, all the things that my students need to be successful. I also have a lot of students who struggle to sit still while learning and would benefit from alternate seating. They often do better if they can move around while they are learning. If they have a seat that allows them to wiggle, they are able to learn better and be more successful in school. This is why I would like some different seats for them to sit on. I want my students to be successful and these items would really help my classroom.
