My students must gain a deeper understanding of important math concepts. They missed learning some material in-depth because I couldn't demonstrate volume or cross-sections over the screen. By working directly with engaging manipulatives and exploring questions and concepts such as these, they will have fun with it and learn by touching, seeing and questioning. Students learn most effectively when they are exploring problems on their own or with a team, and having fun doing it. Additionally, they will continue to develop their relationships with their peers, and learn to work together and support each other.
