We are starting our Kindergartners off on the right foot by teaching them a 2nd language, Spanish, at our school. I teach them Spanish each day along with math and reading. I believe children need hands-on materials that are interesting and fun for them to use. We want to put hands-on learning materials in the hands of our new Spanish language learners. Many of these children didn't attend preschool due to Covid. More than ever before they need items that help them to learn by doing. Spanish materials like a touch and listen Spanish board, Spanish bingo cards that can be used as a small group or individually, memory games, Spanish word matching. Language materials, like wooden word builders and letter tracing. Building materials help children to understand their spacial world and begin understanding math concepts more fully. And Technology so that they can use Spanish games and Apps in our classroom and to teach them how to use technology at home.
