Our goal is to improve literacy by reading! By providing Graphic Novels for more reluctant readers encourages them to explore stories through imagery. Helping with comprehension and plot retention. Unfortunately the past few years have taken their toll creating gaps in learning. The pandemic created delays causing so many students to fall behind. Reading Graphic Novels improves literacy! Many students are visual learners and reading novels that contain imagery helps to build better understanding and increases literacy skills. I want the students at my school to have a wide variety of reading materials to satisfy even the most reluctant of readers. I want to provide as many diverse & varied types of genres that will appeal to our students varied interests.
