These materials will allow active students who need to move often an opportunity to learn just as effectively as those who can sit quietly in a chair. For example I had a student last year who worked best while lying on the floor under the table. It's these types of students that I want to reach out to with flexible seating. This flexible seating also allows students comfortable places to read, which will in turn encourage reading. And increase in reading means an increase in comprehension across the board from math and science to writing.
