The resources I have requested will directly relate to helping students continue their academic learning in Spanish and Math by giving them the tools to succeed. I have requested books on differing levels for first grade to help the students learn to love to read. I included headphones to help with our online curriculum. I have included Spanish vocabulary cards to help the students with their Spanish vocabulary. I have included whiteboards and erasers so that the students can practice their writing skills. I have included a doorbell to help with classroom management and keeping the students on task. I got Math tools and manipulatives to help the students have hands-on experiences with math. I have also added 3-ring binders and folders to help them track their own academic progress. Our school just introduced a new way for students to track their own learning and I am excited to get started, I just need the materials to help me. The students have been impacted by COVID-19 because the last few years have been hard on our community and school. A lot of these students did not have a full preschool experience, some were learning online last year during kindergarten, and the ones in school were wearing masks. These items will help fill in the gaps for my students that they have experienced the past few years. I want to help my students do the best they can, and these items will help me achieve success.
