Because my students have missed so much class over the last two years, I have decided to focus the funds on fun, engaging and educational activities to do with my students during small groups. Having phonological awareness skills is a strong indicator of reading success. Because of the importance of this skill I have chosen to focus my possible funds on helping students achieve proficiency in phonological awareness, by choosing engaging activities that will capitalize on the time we have together. I have also decided to include some flexible seating options for my very wiggly students. Having a comfortable place to learn will help maximize what time I do have with my students. I also plan on using the small droppers to help with fun and exciting measurement activities and science experiments.
