Technology is always changing and so is the processes and skills that I use for teaching. Some of the things that I work on with our students, especially in kindergarten and first grade are letters and sounds in which we use many different methods such as the letter rainbow and pictures with the letters and sounds. I also teach Phonemic Awareness from the book written by David Kilpatrick Ph.D. I also use Spalding in which we teach phonograms and syllabication. The apps that are available on these tablets will engage students and help bridge the gap between where they are and reading grade level benchmark.
