We believe that our Mariachi band will lead to minority students feeling included, and that their culture is valued and important to us. Students will learn to play music from their respective heritage countries, as well as learn the language of music which bridges all cultures. Students will have the opportunity to choose between five different instruments as well as sing. They will have the special clothes that I am requesting to wear while they perform.This class will have the opportunity to perform often. We hope that this band will also lead to minority student families feeling a sense of community and inclusion at our school.

About my class
