Children learn through different mediums. Art experiences are a perfect way to integrate learning across all curriculums. At our school we focus on this. Our art lessons are closely aligned with the classroom history and science curriculum. Using art to explore creativity opens the mind for all learning possibilities.
Our students were negatively impacted by Covid-19, they are making up for lost learning because for the past two years, they were not able to have hands on art instruction. For many students art is their favorite part of the day, they get to explore and express themselves and this impacts their confidence.
We are exited to use the Leather Wristbands to teach cross curricular learning when the students are learning about the Native Americans and European Americans use of leather. The Blick E-Z Cut Classroom Starter Kit will be used to help the students learn how art prints were made before the invention of the printer. The students have expressed interest in learning how to do "Ebru art" (which is Turkish marbling) we will use the Jaquard Marbling Class packs to give the children a hands on experience with this new art skill. I will be teaching the students about Medieval stain glass. They can now make their own stain glass using the Pebeo Vitrea paint that you will be providing.
