Students in Gadsden County are economically disadvantaged. Many parents cannot afford books for reading at home. This project will help to prepare our future readers. Each student will be able to start their at home library and have a book to read over the summer to build literacy skills. Parents will also receive information on reading activities to help build literacy skills. Having a book at home helps to inspire children to read and learn in various ways. Book reading helps to build print knowledge as well as fine motor skills. Please help us provide a book to each child for summer reading.
