Help my students with different and unique learning difficulties be able to succeed in the classroom with alternative seating. Students that have different sensory and developmental needs do better in the classroom setting with a choice in seating options that help them feel comfortable and able to focus. In my moderate to mild special education classroom, this is a need for each one of my students.
The flexible seating options that my students will receive from this project will provide a safe and fun atmosphere where they can comfortably sit in a variety of ways to work and learn in my classroom. I want students to feel that they are welcome and at home in our learning space, and allowing them to have a choice of seating and an organized classroom where they can come in and enjoy learning helps them to feel that way.
The students have been through so much over the space of the pandemic and they continue to face it as we strive to continue to learn amidst the battle is essential. They have shown their strength and continue to show their determination to succeed. I feel like giving them the best learning environment I can give is the least I can do, and this project will certainly help.
