My special education classroom serves students in grades 6-8 who are being educated through an alternate curriculum. We find the strengths of each individual and work on making them even stronger, seeing how we can maybe build a career around them. Conversely we work on their struggles and ways we can support those in school, at home and in the community. We do a lot of cooking, crafts, have a classroom business selling donuts to staff and work on academics at their individual levels.
