One student has proposed making a film about their journey through high school. They want to make it a "1st person narrative". The film will be a mix of documentary and story telling, with emphasis on what it means to be a student in the 21st century. Their objective is to express how they feel as an individual when being digitally bombarded by local, national, and global information. The first person documentary is meant for audiences of all ages but specifically for fellow high schoolers who may be struggling with their own thoughts of inadequacy and depression. The story follows a character as she narrates how school began and how it ended. It follows her through the process of social distancing, the shutting down of a school, the construction of a new school, and how all the events impacted her relationship with friends, parents, and even teachers. This film has an experimental element involving doors. Doors are shown throughout the production opening and closing and her character has a unique obsessive relationship with them. Ultimately she steals a door and we follow her as she deals with her own personal conflicts.
