For many students, their only meals during the week come from the school cafeteria. Creating a food pantry for students helps them to have access to food to take home for evenings, weekends, and other times the school is closed or under distance learning due to Covid, weather, or anything else.) In the last 2 years, we have become more aware of how many more students are affected by hunger, food insecurity, and homelessness. For many, Covid had direct and indirect effects on this. This storage shed will allow us to create a pantry for students supported by teachers, families and community members.
