During the pandemic, learning has bounced around from in-school to at-home. Often, kids miss weeks of learning time due to school- or class-wide quarantine, or because they or their family member has tested positive for Covid-19 and must stay home. This is a burden on a child's learning trajectory that is challenging. I plan to use this camera, ring light, and other equipment to make personalized learning videos for my students. These videos will be used in class but will also live on my class website for students to access at home if they can't come to school due to illness or school closure. When one is five, the consistency of a caring teacher helping with academic, emotional, and social skills in a style the student is already familiar with may make all the difference between engaged learning and falling behind.
