Our students have been impacted with COVID. They have come to our class with limited vocabularies, and fewer opportunities for sensory and STEAM exploration than other peers. My students tested lowest in literacy at our school, and thus qualify for our all day Kindergarten class . This project and these items will help meet these needs of these students to reach the Oral Language Standard of participating in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about kindergarten topics and texts with peers and adults in small and larger groups as well as the standard to speak audibly and express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly. Our students deserve everything they need to succeed. Magnetic blocks, Magnadoodles, and opportunities for story retelling; all of these will help get my students reach these goals and be prepared for first grade next year. Thank you for your time, consideration, and generosity! It is appreciated.
