My students could really use some headphones available in the classroom that will allow them to work on the types of assignments that many teachers, including myself, are assigning to try to cope with absences due to the pandemic. There are lots of videos and other types of online resources that would be a lot better if kids had quality headphones available to them. Having a storage location that is easy to organize and will assist with sanitation is also key to the use of these headphones. I have also created a few clubs in order to help my students be able to socialize while doing something that they love, and their excitement often becomes loud. This year, especially because of the isolation caused by the pandemic, many of my students have been these craving social opportunities. Unfortunately, the sound my students make while enjoying these clubs has made me limit the number of students in them more than I would like. I hope that this project will help me be able to allow more students develop their social skills and get the interaction that they crave.
