I have selected diverse picture books for reading aloud. These books will help with comprehension and vocabulary development. I also picked vocabulary picture cards. These will be essential for my special ed and ELL students. However, picture cards benefit all learners. The LETRS training emphasizes the need for vocabulary picture use. I also selected leveled readers during DYAD and reading and my Tier One instruction. Students need new reading material every day. The math manipulatives selected would be so helpful for my kinesthetic learners. Manipulatives must be used daily. Students need concrete learning. Research shows that a hands-on approach to learning benefits all learners. The materials I selected would improve my teaching. My students would make more growth with these materials.
