Our classroom has tons of natural sunlight. We want to utilize the space and make an indoor classroom garden! Students will benefit in so many ways from a garden: Responsibilities- caring for the garden. Nutrition- making healthy snacks. Science- photosynthesis, math- counting, measurement, time. Writing- journaling, cooking-salsa, soup, salads! The garden will add beauty to the classroom as well as be an educational experience most of our students wouldn't get anywhere else. At the end of the school year, students will take home a mini garden to share with their families!
