These materials will be valuable for two reasons. First, a shelf is a home for a book. Shelves give books a place to be organized, and more accessible to students. It also lets students know the importance of taking care of them and placing them back where they belong. Second, students will place the books they have chosen in their chair pocket. This gives students a way to keep them safe instead of throwing them in their desk to be smashed and ripped. When students are finished with an assignment, they can easily take their book out to read. The more you read the better reader you become!
