Reading is the door to the world. COVID-19 has had a great effect on the children's ability to read. I work at a charter school where the children come from a home where both parents work and are unable to help with virtual learning or extended learning at home. Phonic books, games, markers, and phonic plays will make center time exciting and fun. Markers, paper, and laminating sheets will be used to make additional phonic flashcards and activities for the children. Shelves and containers will help keep the phonic materials organized in the classroom.
