We’ll be using these letter sets to help support the word study work we’ve been doing in our guided reading groups. Third graders LOVE that they are able to independently read and enjoy the books they’ve always dreamed of reading. Guided reading groups help me to support them on their reading journey. We’re able to use the letter sets to help build and spell the words they’ll come across in their books. As students are using this tool to recognize and practice spelling patterns, they’re also learning the skills they need to become fluent readers.
