These items will be used as demonstrations or for small group hands on activities. For students to connect with physics, they have to touch it, play with it, and more importantly, see it! Often we use materials around the house to fashion labs, and they work, but it is a disservice if they do go to college and have a well stocked physics lab. I fear they will not recognize the equipment and feel like they are missing out. I want to make sure they are not put in that situation.
