Math is something that many students struggle with understanding. This project is asking for fraction tiles, circles, protractors, pattern blocks, measuring devices, and other math resources. I find that the times I have borrowed math manipulatives my students have gained a better understanding of those concepts. Many students need to actually see things like fractions to really grasp the concept. Many times students will think they know the answer but then they see a model of it and can see their mistake. I want to give my students opportunities to easily find their mistakes. I feel like having hands-on material available to my students will increase their understanding. There have been many lessons I have felt my students would benefit from hands-on material. I have looked many times at buying these materials but have felt they were just too expensive for me to buy on my own. This is why I am asking for help. I would be very grateful to receive hands-on math material to increase my student's learning.
