These materials will help students that communication skills range from non-verbal to communicating with peers through imaginary play. Each one has multiple students in mind that they could benefit. Some materials, such as the enabling devices will help some students who have different motor abilities to learn the ability to communicate requests, protest, and commenting, etc. on their own for the first time by giving them the ability to control an alternative speech device. Each material is a tool that can be use to motivate students and give reasons to learn communication skills through meaningful play and experiences. Sensory stimulation will help regulate while the student is learning functional ways to express their needs. Imaginary play scenarios with the Playmobil can give meaningful and constructed practice with pragmatic and social speaking skills. While other students that need assistance clearing up articulation sounds will have a tangible and visual aid with the mouth model to understand how to shape their tongue in order to produce the sound they can hear their typical peers speaking and practice creating themselves for the first time. Instead of being isolated because of the lack of ability to communicate individual needs in a functional manner, our speech students will have more means at their finger tips to express to the world who they are inside.
