These hands-on math manipulatives will help my students bridge the learning gap caused by COVID by providing them with more concrete learning opportunities in Math. I teach math daily and we currently only have worksheets to use for math. I try to show them pictures of things but the students struggle to grasp the ideas due to a lack of hands-on curriculum. If given these resources, I would use them daily in our lessons. I would show the students hands-on examples and allow them the opportunity to use the math manipulative as well. Students would become more engaged in learning math concepts. They would understand better real-life math applications, making them better prepared for their future. My goal is to bring every one of my students up to grade level including my special needs students. These resources will allow me to bridge the huge learning gap caused by COVID and help ensure every student achieves grade-level learning by the end of the year.
