My students work daily on a variety of math and phonics activities. We are encouraged to make sure lessons are cross curricula as well. Having these phonics and math journals will also help us meet science, social studies, technology and social emotional objectives. My students may not have access to such technology at home or get to experience other cultures outside of home and school. Many have never been to a zoo, aquarium or library. Many of my students speak two languages and this will also help grow their vocabulary.
