Participating in hands-on activities allows my students to practice the concepts they have learned. This practice helps the students stay engaged and leads to better understanding and retention. COVID-19 has made it difficult to do hands-on activities because of the risk of spreading germs. The magnetic letters and whiteboards would allow me to safely provide engaging literacy activities for my students. Having decodable readers for each student gives them opportunities to read independently. These materials would be used throughout the day in whole group and small group settings. My goal is to provide fun and interactive ways to help my students learn and practice the skills they need to read and write.
