Half the year we learn about biology. The human torso will help my students as we learn about body systems. It will help them conceptualize organs and see how they work together. The cell model, DNA model, and DNA extraction kit will help make visible what is usually too small to see. The Wisconsin Fast Plants will help my students see evolution as we grow multiple generations of the same plant in 72-hours. In the second half of the year we learn about geology and physics. When we transition to earth science, we will use the density cubes to learn about the different densities of the different layers of the earth.
