I requested some basic art and music supplies because I feel that art and music help with social emotion problems. They help the students create and explore. The arts also tie well into other content areas like math, writing, social students, etc. I requested some stem building supplies because I feel like the children don't often get opportunities to build and play at home. Things like legos and marble sets allow the children to explore science concepts as well as create. I also requested books about different cultural foods. I feel like the kids need to know more about the world and people around them so they can become better global citizens.
